Artsparks is generously funded by Friends of the RUH and a budget to source high quality art materials is made possible through a grant from Bath Decorative and Fine Art Society (NADFAS).

“The Friends of the RUH provide amenities and comforts for patients and relatives which could not otherwise be provided by the NHS. This includes having volunteers across the hospital, fundraising along with a Coffee Shop and Shop.”

In 2018, we were fortunate to have 3 visiting artists delivering workshops on the Children’s ward with thanks to funding from a St John’s Community Grant (February 2017 – February 2019).

Artist Mary Chamberlain worked on a number of projects on the Children’s ward with the theme ‘My Big Planet Earth’ from October 2017 – April 2018.

We are thrilled to now have two visiting artists Edwina Bridgeman and Charlotte Stowell delivering creative workshops alternately, with one day of workshops on the Children’s Ward and one day on the Older Patients (OPU) wards every week.

“More artists like this. Range was great and really enjoyed myself.” Participant

“Amazing workshop, kept my little boy entertained for hours, good variety of paints, pencils etc. The canvas will be amazing when finished.” Parent
